Iranian short film ‘Plight’ has been scheduled to go on screen at two separate international film festivals in Italy and the US.
The Miami Independent Film Festival in the US and the Roma Cinema Doc Film Festival in Italy will screen ‘Plight’ written and directed by Mohammad-Reza Khavari.
To be held in July, Miami Independent Film Festival will host 18 films, including ‘Plight’, which will compete at the 1-minute short films section.
Also set to go on screen at Berlin Flash Film Festival, it is the third international screening experience of the Iranian short film as the country’s only representative in the US event.
The Miami Film Festival is aimed to bridge cultural understanding and encourage artistic development by provoking thought through film.

‘Plight’, as the only 1-minute competitor at Roma Cinema DOC, will compete with 45 other films from all around the globe.

Every month, Judges will award the best films of each category. Every winner will be given the distinction of an Official Finalist of the annual event in which Judges and Audience will award the best films of each category
